NYCSGA Seeks Proposals for 2020 Research, Promotion, & Education Projects

A message from our friends at NYC&SGA: The New York Corn & Soybean Growers Association is seeking proposals for two separate competitive grant programs for 2020. Research, promotion and education project proposals should show a specific benefit to either corn or soybean farmers in New York State. Applications for funding are due no later than Sunday, November 17th, 2019 at midnight.

Working in collaboration with the New York Farm Viability Institute, the New York Corn and Soybean Growers Association is excited to offer corn research and education funding opportunities through the generous support of the NYS Senate and Assembly. Project proposals may range between $5,000 and $25,000 however, the award and scope of work may be negotiated with successful applicants. All applications for corn related funding should be submitted on-line using NYFVI’s database system at: db.nyfvi.org

Projects specific to soybean research, promotion and education will be funded by the New York Corn and Soybean Growers Association-Soybean Checkoff. Emailed proposals are encouraged and should be sent to the NYCSGA-Soybean Checkoff Executive Director, Colleen Klein at cklein@nycornsoy.com. Soybean specific proposals will also be accepted by mail at: NYCSGA-Soybean Checkoff, PO BOX 133, Silver Springs, NY 14550.

Funding decisions are expected to be made by January 1, 2020. Potential applicants should read the full requests for proposals for the corn research program or the soybean checkoff program by visiting www.nycornsoy.org or emailing cklein@nycornsoy.com for more information.
