The NYS Beginning Farmer Competitive Grant Program provides funding to farmers who are in the early stages of building their agricultural businesses. The program helps beginning producers invest in equipment, infrastructure, and other improvements that increase productivity, profitability, and long-term farm viability.
Through a competitive process, funding supports projects that help new farmers strengthen their operations and develop financially sustainable agricultural enterprises.
