Welcoming Aaron Ristow as Executive Director of the New York Farm Viability Institute

The New York Farm Viability Institute is pleased to welcome Aaron Ristow as its new Executive Director.

Aaron brings a strong record of leadership in agricultural research and program development, with a career focused on improving farm viability through practical, on-farm solutions. He is recognized for his role in leading collaborative research initiatives that connect farmers, researchers, and agricultural service providers, most notably through the New York Demonstration Farm Network. Through this work, Aaron helped advance farmer-driven research that delivers actionable results and measurable benefits for farms across the state.

As Executive Director, Aaron is committed to strengthening NYFVI’s partnerships with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Cornell University, and a broad network of agricultural organizations. His approach emphasizes collaboration, applied research, and ensuring that public and private investments translate into meaningful outcomes for farmers.
