NY Meat Suite Expanding, Connecting Customers to Local Producers

Freezer trade meat sales are the most efficient direct marketing channel for farmers and the most affordable way for consumers to buy meat. The Meat Suite, developed by Cornell Cooperative Extension Tompkins County, is an online directory where consumers can find a farm near them that is selling locally raised meat in quarters or halves.  A recent grant from NYFVI is helping take the project to other counties.  For more information, or to add your farm to the directory, visit
